PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase a power-saving effect in a power-saving state and enable return from the power-saving state upon connection of a network cable.SOLUTION: There is provided an image processing apparatus 1 that has a function to make a transition to a communicable power-saving state where exchange of information via a network can be performed while supply of power to a part of the apparatus is stopped, and includes a network I/F device 204 and a low-power device 205. When a network cable shifts from a connection state to a non-connection state, the image processing apparatus 1 controls the state of power supply to make a transition to a connection detectable power-saving state where a power supply range is further restricted than that in the communicable power-saving state and the connection state of the network cable can be detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
