PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector that enables miniaturization even when a reservoir tank is provided.SOLUTION: In an image display device including: a light source; a casing; an optical modulation element that optically modulates illumination light from the light source and forms video light; first deflection means that deflects a first optical path of passage of light from the light source to form a second optical path in a thickness direction of the housing body; second deflection means that deflects the second optical path to form a third optical path; a lens barrel for housing the projection lens; a heat reception unit that is thermally connected to the optical modulation element; a heat discharge unit that discharges heat absorbed by the heat reception unit; a pump that compressedly sends out a liquid coolant; and a reservoir tank for storing the liquid coolant, the reservoir tank is arranged between the lens barrel and the casing relative to the thickness direction of the casing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
