PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high steering support rigidity without taking any such measures as the increase of the outer diameter of a steering member and the increase in thickness of a column bracket and other components.SOLUTION: By fastening fastening bolts 8 in a state where the fastening bolts 8 inserted into bolt insertion holes 41a-1 and 42a-1 respectively formed in the bottom plate piece parts 41a of a base members 41 and the column bracket side fitting piece parts 42a of reinforcing members 42 provided separately from and oppositely to the bottom plate piece parts 41 are inserted into bolt insertion holes 31a-1 formed in the column shaft side fitting bracket 31, a column shaft 3 is attached to a steering member, a bracing piece 11 through which the fastening bolt 8 has been inserted is disposed in a closed section chamber between the bottom plate piece part 41a and the column bracket side fitting piece part 42a, and the bracing piece 11 is sandwiched between the bottom plate piece part 41a and the column bracket side fitting piece part 42a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
