Tool and method for producing can bodies

The tool (2) has a drawing punch for the formation of a cup from a blank and another drawing punch for redrawing and stretching the cup for forming the can body. The latter drawing punch is arranged coaxial to the former drawing punch. The two drawing punches are driven in a co-rotating manner. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing can bodies, particularly for pressure vessel cans or drink cans.
