Image capturing apparatus with notification means providing notification of operation status, shooting control means to perform series of shooting operations including at least first shooting operation for shooting a person and second shooting operation for shooting a background, control means to control notification means to provide no notification at end of shooting operation which is not a last shooting operations of the series of shooting operations and to provide a notification after the end of the last shooting operation of the series of shooting operations wherein, when self-timer shooting is performed, a notification is provided after the end of the last shooting operation of the series of shooting operations and, when shooting is not self-timer shooting, no notification is provided after the end of the last shooting operation of the series of shooting operations. Notifications may be by LED light emission on object side of camera. One of a plurality of shooting modes may be for capturing a starry sky or nightscape. The camera may or may not use the electronic flash or exposure time to control shooting means. |
