Said control unit (SE) effects the elevator call (R1, R2, R3) and outputs at least one floor feature (Z1, Z2). The control unit sets the elevator power consumed for the cabin (AK) displacement from the current floor (F, Z1, Z2, R1, R2, R3) to at least one loaded destination floor (Z1, Z2) and to at least one appropriate loaded floor (R1, R2, R3) of cabin call. The minimum power consumed for cabin displacement is defined from set power consumption magnitudes to displace from destination floor (Z1, Z2) or to the cabin call floor (R1, R2, R3) at minimum power consumption.
