The mattress has parts (5, 7) that are related with each other along a transverse folding line (9), where the mattress is in bed and sitting positions. The parts extend in a same plane in the bed position. The mattress is folded around the folding line and the parts extend in respective plans shifted angularly with respect to each other around the folding line in the sitting position. A foam beam hinge (17) extends along the folding line. The beam hinge is attached to a frame (15) by opposite ends, and divides the frame into two spaces (21, 23). The springs fill the spaces. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a foldable bench comprising a foldable mattress support and a mattress (2) a method for manufacturing a mattress. |
