PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve the continuation of the registration of merchandise even when the registration of merchandise is interrupted.SOLUTION: A settlement system includes: a POS terminal for performing the settlement of merchandise that a customer wants to purchase; and a server for storing the merchandise information of the merchandise registered via the POS terminal each time the merchandise is registered. Thus, each time the merchandise is registered via the POS terminal, registration information is transmitted to the server, and stored therein. Therefore, even when any unexpected failure occurs in the POS terminal, and the registration of the merchandise is interrupted before the end of the registration of all the merchandise that the user wants to purchase, it is possible to resume the registration of the merchandise by using the other POS terminal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10 |
