The present invention relates to an information search apparatus and method. The present invention provides an information search apparatus, comprising: a storage unit which builds a database with single uniform resource locators (URL) for each search word, wherein the single URL is a URL of one search result corresponding to a search word other than URLs of a plurality of search result output pages for the search word, and storing the same; an interface unit which receives the search word input by a user communication terminal; an analysis unit which analyzes a configuration pattern of the search word received through the interface unit and checks whether the configuration pattern of the search word matches a predetermined configuration pattern, wherein the predetermined configuration pattern is a configuration pattern in which a special symbol is disposed at any one or more of locations ahead of and behind the search word and in the middle of the search word; and a processing unit which performs processing so that the user communication terminal immediately accesses a single URL corresponding to the search word if, as a result of the checking of the analysis unit, the configuration pattern of the search word matches the predetermined configuration pattern. |
