The present invention relates to an air conditioner and a heat dissipation apparatus for an air conditioner. The heat dissipation apparatus where a heat dissipation control module controlling operation of a compressor is installed, comprises: a heat dissipation plate where the control module is mounted on one surface to cool heat from the control module; a refrigerant flow passage formed inside the heat dissipation plate; a refrigerant inlet formed on a side surface of the heat dissipation plate to enable a refrigerant to be introduced to the refrigerant flow passage; and a refrigerant outlet where the refrigerant introduced from the refrigerant inlet to pass through the refrigerant flow passage is discharged. The present invention cools the heat from the control module to protect the control module from overheating and cools the control module using a refrigerant cycle of the air conditioner itself in order to reduce the size of the heat dissipation plate, thereby reducing the size of an occupied space thereby, being safer than a water cooling type, and effectively performing the cooling operation with a simple configuration. |
