PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power reception device capable of, when being brought closer to a transmission unit, causing a transmission unit to recognize that the power reception device is placed on a placement plane thereof by allowing a constant current to flow for a certain period of time to largely change the impedance on a transmission unit.SOLUTION: The power reception device includes: a power reception coil for receiving an electric power which is intermittently transmitted from a transmission unit in a non-contact manner; a first timer circuit that, when an induction voltage corresponding to the electric power received by the power reception coil exceeds a predetermined value, measures a first predetermined period of time; and a constant current circuit on which a predetermined constant current flows according to an operation control signal from a first timer circuit while the first timer circuit measures the first predetermined time.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
