PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform appropriate charging according to a battery form.SOLUTION: A charger 30 includes: a control unit 31 which determines the connection state of wiring to a plurality of batteries 2a-2e connected in series; and a power supply unit 33 capable of supplying power to the plurality of batteries 2a-2e. The control unit 31 detects a potential difference between at least one of positive potential and negative potential, associated with a synthetic voltage of the plurality of batteries 2a-2e connected in series, and potential associated with a detection line 6s connected between two batteries out of the plurality of batteries 2a-2e connected in series. Then, based on the detected potential difference, it is determined whether or not the detection line 6s is connected to plurality of battery 2a-2e at a correct position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
