PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly compress individual image data in accordance with its image content without a special user operation.SOLUTION: A live view image is acquired (step S3) and an image analysis part 7 is started to start image analysis of the live view image (step S4). A compressibility determination table 3E is referred on the basis of a result of the analysis and a compressibility corresponding to the result is determined (step S5). Then, RAW data is acquired (step S7) and the RAW data is compressed (step S8).
