The ceramic honeycomb structure is characterized in that: the perimeter partition walls configuring the outermost perimeter of the ceramic honeycomb body have a perimeter surface form reflecting the square lattice shape of the partition walls; the thickness of the perimeter partition walls is thicker than the thickness of the partition walls; and the outer circumferential wall is formed so as to cover the perimeter surface of the perimeter partition walls.
