PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission apparatus and a reception apparatus which start corresponding applications for respective multichannels (multi-organization contents).SOLUTION: A reception apparatus 3 comprises: a component demultiplex unit 34 that receives an MH-AIT (Application Information Table for MPEG Media Transport) indicating applications corresponding to respective packages; a combination unit 38 and an audio decoding unit 36 that reproduce one of the packages; and a data broadcast control unit 37 that refers to the MH-AIT, thereby controlling the application corresponding to the package currently reproduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
