A controller 10 is provided with a control device 14, a non-volatile memory 18, and a volatile memory 16. The control device 10 includes: a process execution means that executes pre-set processing in each processing period; a data compression means that compresses non-compressed data stored in the volatile memory 16 as a result of the execution of the processing by the process execution means in the processing period; and a data saving means that, upon detection of a power supply OFF notice signal input from the outside, stores non-compressed data stored in the volatile memory 16 and not compressed by the data compression means, and the compressed data compressed by the data compression means in the non-volatile memory 18. |
