A fuel injector (23) is provided with a cylindrical flow passage (32) opening in a combustion chamber (26), a fuel introduction passage (34) for guiding the fuel toward the combustion chamber (26) of the cylindrical flow passage (32), and an air introduction passage (35) for guiding compressed air into the cylindrical flow passage (32) on the upstream side of the position in the cylindrical flow passage (32) where the fuel is introduced, the fuel introduction passage (34) guiding fuel from the tangential direction, in transverse cross-section view, of the cylindrical flow passage (32).
