PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermosensitive recording medium excellent in terms of barriering capacity, water resistance, and water-resistant anti-blocking characteristic and capable of inhibiting the yellowish discoloration of a white paper portion over time.SOLUTION: In a thermosensitive recording medium possessing, atop a support medium, a thermosensitive recording layer including at least a leuco dye and a coloring agent and a protective layer including adhesives, the protective layer includes, as the adhesives, a diacetone-modified polyvinyl alcohol and a totally saponified polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of polymerization of 3000-5000. It is desirable for the mass ratio of the diacetone-modified polyvinyl alcohol and the totally saponified polyvinyl alcohol having a degree of polymerization of 3000-5000 to be 50:50-97:3. |
