The present invention relates to a power generation controlling method using a waste heat recovering device of an engine for a vessel capable of generating power necessary for the vessel using a steam turbine generator and an auxiliary generator operated by steam produced by using waste heat included in an exhaust gas generated in the engine. The power generation controlling method using the waste heat recovering device of the engine for the vessel is capable of improving the efficiency of the power generation by varying a steam pressure. According to the power generation controlling method using the waste heat recovering device of the engine for the vessel of the present invention, the efficiency of the steam turbine generator is maximized by varying the steam pressure, and a decrease in frequency responsibility which may occur when the steam pressure is varied is compensated by using the small auxiliary generator. Accordingly, the efficiency of the entire power generation of the waste heat recovering device is increased. The power generation controlling method using the waste heat recovering device of the engine for the vessel includes (S1) a step of varying the steam pressure of an exhaust gas economizer and (S2) a step of varying the pressure of the steam supplied to the steam turbine generator from the exhaust gas economizer.
