An arrangement and a method in a soda recovery boiler. The soda recovery boiler (100) comprises a second pass (9) which is provided with at least one superheater (4') and a second pass ash hopper (14), a front and/or rear wall (15, 16) of the ash hopper (14) being connected to steam circulation of the soda recovery boiler (100).
