PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position sensor that saves space.SOLUTION: A position sensor includes a sheet-like optical waveguide W obtained by sandwiching a sheet-like core pattern member, which has a grid portion 2A comprising a plurality of linear cores 2 and a peripheral portion 2B extended from the cores 2 of the grid portion 2A and located along the outer periphery of the grid portion 2A, between an under-cladding layer 1 and an over-cladding layer 3. A surface portion of the over-cladding layer 3 corresponding to the grid portion 2A of the core pattern member is an input area 3A. At least a portion of a peripheral portion F of the optical waveguide W corresponding to the peripheral portion 2B of the core pattern member is folded back to the back side of the optical waveguide W.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
