PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device for a front passenger seat capable of smoothly protecting a passenger moving diagonally forward, by an airbag having completed inflating.SOLUTION: An airbag 15 is configured to have a rear surface side when inflation is completed, as a passenger protection part 39 capable of protecting a passenger MP. The passenger protection part 39 has: a confinement surface 40 for frontal impact capable of protecting a head MH of the passenger MP moving forward during frontal impact of a vehicle V; and a confinement surface 41 for oblique impact capable of protecting the head MH of the passenger MP moving diagonally forward during oblique impact or off-set impact of the vehicle V. The confinement surface 41 for oblique impact is formed so as to protrude backward from the confinement surface 40 for frontal impact, at a side of the confinement surface 40 for frontal impact. In addition, at the top surface of the confinement surface for oblique impact, there is disposed a slip preventing layer 36 capable of preventing a slip of the head when the top surface catches the head MH of the passenger MP.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15 |
