PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, when a user visually recognizes a pictorial symbol lit up on a mode dial, even if a mode in responce to the pictorial symbol cannot be executed, an imaging device may be erroneously recognized to be operated in the mode.SOLUTION: An imaging device which can be operated in each of a predetermined plurality of modes, comprises a housing to which a predetermined index is attached, an operation member to which marks indicating the respective modes are attached and which is supported by the housing so that the marks can be moved to and stopped at each position indicated by the index, illumination means for illuminating the marks, state detection means for detecting the state of the imaging device, and illumination control means for controlling the illumination state of the mark at an index position indicated by the index by the illumination means on the basis of the detected state.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
