PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device that can perform recording in which occurrence of excessive temperature rise is suppressed in a case where the number of times of driving of some recording elements is larger while suppressing cost increase.SOLUTION: In a step 1103, ink in the vicinity of recording elements is heated by applying voltage to a sub heater; in a step 1106, a temperature of the sub heater is detected based on a signal acquired by applying voltage to the sub heater at least during scanning of a recording head; and when the detected temperature of the sub heater is determined to have reached a protect temperature in a step 1108, protect control is executed in a step 1115.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11 |
