PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an auxiliary handle for a wheelchair which eliminates the need to be detached from the wheelchair even when it is not used so as to be used immediately.SOLUTION: An auxiliary handle 21 for a wheelchair of the invention includes: a pair of arm parts 22; a grip part 23; and rotation means 24a provided in a connection part 24 between both parts 22, 23. The arm part 22 is expandable and retractable, and is disposed in the side part of a wheelchair 1 so that the base end part of the arm part 22 do not project forward and backward from the wheelchair 1 in the state that the arm part 22 is retracted. The grip part 23 includes: a pair of grip pieces 23a, 23b into which the grip part is divided in the substantially central part thereof in the longitudinal direction; and a joint part 29 for attachably/detachably connecting both the grip pieces 23a, 23b. The opposite side of the joint part side of each of the grip pieces 23a, 23b is connected to the end part of the arm part 22. Rotation means 24a is provided so that the grip pieces 23a, 23b of the grip part 23 can move rotationally between the state of extending in the substantially right and left direction and the state of substantially drooping.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
