The present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for shutting off power for electrical loads in a vehicle and, more specifically, relates to an apparatus and a method for shutting off power for electrical loads in a vehicle, which can prevent a short circuit and damage of the electrical loads due to submergence by shutting off power applied to the predetermined electrical loads when a vehicle is submerged. Moreover, the present invention comprises: a sensing unit to detect inflow of water; and a unit for shutting off power for electrical loads to shut off power for electrical loads after determining whether a vehicle is submerged. Thus, the power can be shut off before the electrical loads in the vehicle is submerged, thereby preventing a short circuit and damage of the electrical loads which are shut off by submergence. |
