Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for displaying a holographic three-dimensional (3D) image. The disclosed apparatus for displaying a holographic 3D image comprises an image divider configured to segment an original image into a plurality of segments, and a calculator configured to calculate diffractive fringe pattern information for displaying each of the segments as 3D holographic images. In addition, the image divider can adjust the number of the segments.
