The invention generally involves a system and method for providing contact information. A system in accordance with the invention may include a database for storing contact information associated with customers. Customers may be assigned unique keywords linked to their accounts, and users of the system may request the customer's contact information by providing the service provider with the customer's unique keyword via requests from a client device. The request includes identifying information, for example metadata associated with both the user and the client device used to send the request. Using this identifying information, the service provider generates a contact record based on the contact information, which may be seamlessly implemented with the contact record repository utilized by the requesting mobile device. Furthermore, the service provider retrieves, from the identifying information, contact information associated with the user of the client device and provides it to the customer.

1. A system for providing user contact information, comprising:
a server including a memory and a database for storing contact information associated with a customer; a network interface coupled to the server; and a processor with access to the memory and database, the processor configured to execute a set of instructions residing in the memory, the set of instructions configured for:
receiving from a client device a request for contact information associated with the customer, the request comprising identifying information including metadata associated with the client device;retrieving, from the database, the contact information using the identifying information to match the request to the customer;generating a contact record formatted for the client device by executing a set of formatting instructions to format the contact information according to a format identified using the metadata associated with the client device; andproviding the contact record to the client device.
