Disclosed are a media control method and device, comprising: acquiring, by a conference centre, media information sent from a user equipment, and receiving a session request sent by the user equipment; according to a media object identifier carried in a media control policy, obtaining attribute information about a media object corresponding to the media object identifier carried in the media control policy from the media information, and obtaining a session identifier and channel information corresponding to the media object identifier carried in the media control policy from the session request; and sending a media operation instruction carried in the media control policy and the obtained attribute information about the media object and channel information to the user equipment sending the session identifier, the media operation instruction being used for instructing the user equipment to perform an operation on the received attribute information about the media object and channel information, and thus the currently existing circumstance of chaotic media control of a whole conference site is avoided, and media control of a conference centre on a whole conference site scene is enhanced. |
