A force measurement sensor for measuring an applied force onto an object (2) is provided. The force measurement sensor comprises a first sensing unit which comprises a first flux concentrator (15a) having a first facing orientation pointing towards a surface (5) of the object, a first magnetic field generating unit (10a) being adapted for generating a magnetic field, a first magnetic field detector unit (20a) being adapted for detecting a first magnetic field which field being generated by the first magnetic field generating unit and being influenced by the applied force to be measured, wherein the first magnetic field detector unit is further adapted for outputting a first signal being representative for the detected magnetic field, and an evaluating unit (50) being adapted for evaluating a signal strength of the first signal and determining the applied force based on the first signal. A longitudinal axis (25) of the first magnetic field detector unit (20a) is arranged such that a first lateral offset (26) between the longitudinal axis (25) of the first magnetic field detector unit and a central axis (24) of the first flux concentrator is provided. The first lateral offset (26) is perpendicular to a longitudinal direction (27) of the first flux concentrator. |
