In the present invention, there is disclosed a method of registering road transport costs through the mediation of a road toll collection system (1) including a vehicle-installed device (3) for the vehicle-autonomous determination of a road toll for a vehicle within a use billing area (13, 14), wherein the method is carried out in such a manner that in one use billing area (14) the road toll collection system (1) is operated by one operator (15) while in the other use billing area (13) the foreign road toll collection system (17) is operated by the operator (16) of that foreign road toll collection system (17). For the use of the vehicle-installed device (3), there is created a technical interoperability in the different use billing area (13) by making use of a DSRC interface to said vehicle-installed device (3) and by supporting all transactions supported by radio beacons and created on CEN DRSC using ISO ENV 14906 EFC. At least one chip card is used is used in the vehicle-installed device (3) as a safety module. Through the mediation of various communication channels, control routines and applications for achievement of ability to execute multiple applications for the participation in the foreign road toll collection system (17) are additionally supplemented through a safe transmission in the vehicle-installed device (3). Through the mediation of a defined internal interface of said vehicle-installed device (3), there are defines and carry out changes/enhancements in the unite form between the applications and basic functions of the vehicle-installed device (3). Transactions between the vehicle-installed device (3) and another control center are carried out by the use of TCP/IP-PPP as a standard for GSM services. |
