<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Cr evaporation test method for simply evaluating Cr evaporates from a metal material containing Cr. <P>SOLUTION: A Cr evaporation test method for evaluating Cr evaporates from a metal material containing Cr includes: heating a test piece made of a metal material containing the Cr; depositing the Cr evaporates from the test piece on MgO; detecting the Cr deposited on the MgO; and determining the presence/absence of the deposited Cr or/and further measuring the amount of Cr.
