A message service system comprises: a short message service center which receives a short message that a sender has transmitted to a user terminal, and if the short message is a target to insert a transmitting identification symbol, determines whether or not it exceeds the maximum size of the short message when the transmitting identification symbol is inserted in the short message; and a multimedia message service center which, when it exceeds the maximum size of the short message, inserts the transmitting identification symbol in the short message according at the request of the short message service center and creates the same into a multimedia message, and then transmits the multimedia message to the user terminal. |
