An agitator assembly configured for mounting on a container (20) such as a liquid manure or biogas tank. The assembly includes a tube (30) with a closure member (40), a drive shaft (55) operably connected to a motor (60) and having a propeller (65) attached thereto, and a flange (70) with a seal (75). The drive shaft (55) and propeller (65) are longitudinally moveable in and out of the container (20) within the tube (30) while maintaining a seal on the tube to prevent the escape of liquids or gasses from the container (20). The tube (30) can be closed and the drive shaft (55) and propeller (65) removed without having to empty the container (20). |
