The present invention relates to a motor cooling apparatus which is installed on the outer circumference and cools the motor. The motor cooling apparatus comprises: a stator unit which is installed separately on the outer circumference of a rotor; a coupling unit which is formed on the outer circumferential face of the stator unit; a first cooling unit which is coupled to the coupling unit and has a flow passage formed to allow a cooling medium to flow on the outer circumferential face of the stator unit; and second cooling units which are coupled to both ends of the stator unit and supply air to the first cooling unit to cool the first cooling unit. According to the present invention, the first cooling unit is installed on the outer circumference of the motor to circulate the cooling medium, and the second cooling units are installed at both ends of the motor to cool the cooling medium of the first cooling unit. Accordingly, circulation of the cooling medium is increased and the cooling medium is cooled by the air, thereby improving cooling speed and cooling efficiency of the motor. |
