A method for preparing an anhydrosugar alcohol, according to the present invention, can increase the yield of the anhydrosugar alcohol even without adding a catalyst or with only a small amount of catalyst, by controlling the reaction temperature in two steps, a primary low-temperature reaction and a secondary high-temperature reaction, in a conversion reaction of a sugar alcohol into an anhydrosugar alcohol in the absence of a catalyst or in the presence of a transition metal salt catalyst.
