PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data recording device for a vehicle capable of efficiently recording data, and increasing resolution of a specified event occurrence time in a simple manner.SOLUTION: A data recording device for a vehicle includes: a first data recording control means which, in the case of occurrence of a predetermined event in the vehicle, records at least vehicle state data at the time of the event occurrence, and data before and data after the occurrence for each predetermined time in a predetermined period from a time point by a first timer; an occurrence time recording control means which records in a recording means the time of occurrence of another predetermined event (the present event) by a second timer different from the first timer; and a timer control means which records only data at the time of the occurrence concerning the present event if recording on the basis of the previous event by the first data recording control means is actually performed at the time point of occurrence of the present event, and records a vehicle state for each predetermined time in the predetermined period if recording on the basis of the previous event is not performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6 |
