A lubricating oil pump speed control device for a ship engine and a method for controlling the same are disclosed. The present invention is configured to control the speed of a lubricating oil pump in accordance with the speed of a ship engine, thereby supplying lubricating oil at a proper flow rate to the ship engine, reducing power consumption of the lubricating oil pump, reducing a repetition rate of a defect regardless of the speed of the ship engine when the lubricating oil pump is operated like the prior art, more efficiently managing maintenance of the lubricating oil pump, and using the lubricating oil pump for a long period of time. |
