PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a covering member of an arm rest of a chair capable of dissolving a problem caused in a space formed between the arm rest and a seating face, and a problem at the time when using a lap robe; and to provide a chair having the member.SOLUTION: A covering member of an arm rest of a chair includes an installation part 11 arranged along the upper surface of the arm rest 31 by being latched to the arm rest 31 of the chair 3, a hiding part 12 for covering the side of the arm rest, and a lap robe part 2 using a sheet material capable of wrapping knees in the seated state on the chair 3.
