PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool dispensing with storage of a cover on the outside of a machine, when removing the cover covering a part of a feed mechanism.SOLUTION: A machine tool (1) comprises: a headstock 10 provided with a main spindle 12 for gripping a work-piece W1; driving means 20 having a feed mechanism 22 along a main spindle center line AX1 and moving the headstock 10 in the main spindle center line direction D1; a support stand 30 detachably provided with a guide bush 32 for slidably supporting the work-piece W1 in front (S1) of the main spindle 12; a first cover (40) provided to the headstock 10 and covering a part of the feed mechanism 22 in the main spindle center line direction D1; and a second cover (50) covering a part of the feed mechanism 22 more on the front side (S1) than the first cover (40) when installed on the headstock 10. The second cover (50) can be attached-detached to/from the first cover (40) when it is removed from the headstock 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
