PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a developing bias to a more proper value with parallel adjustment processing.SOLUTION: In a configuration in which parallel adjustment processing for adjusting a developing bias is executed in order to obtain a target toner adhesion amount on the basis of a result of detecting image density of a prescribed density detection toner image created in a non-image region existing on an end in a rotation axis direction of a photoreceptor, a first test toner image is created by using a developer carried in a base-facing region of the entire surface of a developing sleeve which has faced a base part of the photoreceptor in the previous circling and a second test toner image is created by using a developer carried in a latent image-facing region of the entire surface of the developing sleeve which has faced a latent image of the photoreceptor in the previous circling at prescribed timing, and a correction value is calculated on the basis of the difference in image density of the test toner images. In the subsequent parallel adjustment processing, the developing bias is adjusted on the basis of the image density of the density detection toner image and the correction value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
