PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition containing modified farnesene polymer, that can improve the dispersibility of fillers such as carbon black or silica when used in a part of the rubber composition, and that is excellent in rolling resistance performance, steering stability resulting from the high hardness, wear resistance, and mechanical strength, and to provide a tire using the rubber composition as well as a method for producing the modified farnesene polymer.SOLUTION: There is provided a rubber composition containing 20 to 150 pts.mass of one or more of filler (B) selected from carbon black and silica, and 0.1 to 30 pts.mass of modified farnesene polymer (C) comprising a monomer unit derived from farnesene, per 100 pts.mass of one or more of rubber component (A) selected from synthetic rubber and natural rubber, and in which the modified farnesene polymer (C) satisfies the conditions (I) and (II).SELECTED DRAWING: None |
