PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device that can determine whether an actually conveyed medium is a cut-form medium or a lengthy medium before starting conveyance of the medium so that a proper mode in accordance with the determination result can be executed.SOLUTION: The printing device is equipped with: a sheet feeding roller 64 that feeds a sheet set on a hopper 61 to a downstream side in a conveying direction; a printing head 33 that is arranged closer to a downstream side in the conveying direction than the sheet feeding roller 64 and performs printing on the sheet; an insertion part that guides a roll sheet to the hopper 61; and a roll sheet detecting sensor SE3 that detects the roll sheet which passes through the insertion part. A control device 100 of the printing device selects a mode for a cut-form sheet when the roll sheet detecting sensor SE3 does not detect the roll sheet, and selects a mode for the roll sheet when the sensor SE3 detects the roll sheet so as to execute proper processing in accordance with the selected mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13 |
