PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system and a control method for the system that are capable of preventing deterioration or damage caused by an overcharge of a storage battery.SOLUTION: A power supply system includes: a plurality of power conversion devices which include a power conversion device of constant voltage control and a power conversion device of constant current control other than the power conversion device of constant voltage control, and each of which is connected to a power supply; a load connected to each power supply through the plurality of power conversion devices; a storage battery; a voltage sensor for measuring a storage battery voltage at the storage battery; and a control controller for controlling an output current setting value set for each power conversion device of constant current control. The control controller receives the storage battery voltage from the voltage sensor; and, when the received storage battery voltage is equal to or higher than the upper limit value of the storage battery, repeatedly changes the output current setting value for each power conversion device of constant current control so that the value decreases until received storage battery voltage becomes lower than the charge voltage upper limit value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
