The present invention relates to a secondary battery having an overcurrent shutoff means, and more specifically, to a secondary battery having an overcurrent shutoff means which can protect a secondary battery and an electronic device from overcharging, overdischarging, and an overcurrent. The secondary battery having an overcurrent shutoff means comprises: an electrode comprising one or more positive plates and negative plates; a battery case in which the electrode is stored; a lead connected to an electrode tab of the electrode; and an overcurrent shutoff area which is formed on a longitudinal portion of the lead, and has a smaller cross section than the cross section of the lead. |
