PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure which enables the manufacturing of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery even with a narrowed battery width.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery 1 comprises: an electrode body including a positive electrode and a negative electrode; an exterior can 10 including a first member 11 and a second member 12 which are opposed to each other in a thickness direction of the electrode body with the electrode body disposed therebetween, and joined to each other, and in which the electrode body is disposed; a terminal 14 electrically insulated from the exterior can 10 and having a polarity opposite to that of the exterior can 10; and a first lead tab connected with one of the positive and negative electrodes, and led out from the electrode body along a first direction with electrical continuity kept between the first lead tab and the terminal 14. The first member 11 includes: a first plane part 1111; and a second plane part 1112 disposed on the side closer to the second member 12 than the first plane part 1111. The terminal 14 is disposed on the second plane part 1112. The other electrode of the positive and negative electrodes has a part which never overlaps with the second plane part 1112 in plan view, and which is electrically continuous with the exterior can 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
