PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, an image processing method and a program that can properly correct an edge effect occurring at a lower end edge according to the distance from the lower end edge while reducing the cost.SOLUTION: An image processing device for correcting multiple value data after halftone processing has line input means for inputting multiple value data of a correction line as a correction target out of the above multiple value data, and line correction means for correcting the multiple value data of the correction line on the basis of the number of dot joints from the lower end edge. The dot joint number is the number of dots joined in an auxiliary scan direction from the correction line to the lower end edge. The lower end edge is an edge which is reduced in density in the auxiliary scan direction, and an edge having a smaller density becomes a background color.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
