PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cathode catalyst layer which never causes the increase in the amount of platinum over a conventional amount thereof, and when used for a fuel battery, chiefly enables the rise of an output of a high-current region of the fuel battery.SOLUTION: A cathode catalyst layer for a fuel battery comprises: metal-supporting carbon; and an ionomer comprises. The metal-supporting carbon includes platinum-supporting carbon or platinum cobalt-supporting carbon, and palladium-supporting carbon.
