PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device which stably uses various kinds of coating slips and achieves high quality coating.SOLUTION: A coating device coats a base material W with a coating slip. A coating chamber 30 which supplies the coating slip to a coating roll 20 includes: a chamber body 31; a doctor blade 32; and a seal blade 33. The chamber body 31 includes: a horizontally long recessed part 41 extending along the coating roll 20; an inflow port 45; and an outflow port 47. A liquid reservoir part 60 which stores the coating slip is formed between the coating chamber 30 and the coating roll 20. The outflow port 47 is formed into a horizontally long shape, and a horizontally long liquid storage space 52 is provided through a horizontally long drainage passage 48 which connects with the outflow port 47.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
