PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide insertion paper for a glass plate which is inserted between glass plates in a distribution process and a manufacturing process in which a plurality of glass plates for flat panel displays such as a liquid crystal panel display and a plasma panel display are laminated, stored and conveyed, and is excellent in smoothness, rigidity, curling resistance and antifouling properties corresponding to enlargement of the insertion paper.SOLUTION: Insertion paper for a glass plate is obtained by paper making a raw material containing a pulp fiber as a main component with a paper machine in which a wire part is an on-top former, and subjecting the raw material to a smoothing treatment with an on-machine calendar. A smoothness measured according to JAPAN TAPPI Paper and Pulp Test Method No.5:2000 is 70 seconds or more.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
